Come sharpen your skills and experience the game in a supportive, hands-on environment!

Perfect for those who have completed MAHJ 101 and are comfortable with tile identification and the basic rules of the American variant, this 2-hour guided play session is designed to help beginners build confidence and independence in their gameplay! (we do not play in pairs).

An instructor will be present to provide a quick review and guide the room through setup, the deal and the Charleston. The instructor will float around the room, be available to answer questions that arise and offer guidance as needed. If you are still uncomfortable with tile identification or how to read the game card, consider repeating MAHJ 101.

We will cover topics such as:

  • -how to use dice in Mahjong
  • -the blind pass
  • -mahjong in error and other mistakes
  • -scoring
  • -how to play with less than 4 players
  • -2025 NMJL card review
  • -Q&A.

Please bring a pad/pen to take notes!

Note> Should we get through all the material with time to spare, we can use it for open play. However, this is not guaranteed.
