
SPCC Youth Tri Program
Designed to nurture young athletes, this program combines the thrill of swimming, biking, and running into a single, exhilarating experience. Join our six-week youth tri training program and discover the power of perseverance, teamwork, and personal achievement.
For anyone interested, your child can participate in the Columbia Association Kids Triathlon.

Race Distances:
7-8 yr: Swim 50 yards, Bike 2 miles, Run 0.5 mile
9-10 yr: Swim 100 yards, Bike 2 miles, Run 0.5 mile
11-12 yr: Swim 100 yards, Bike 4 miles, Run 1 mile
13-15 yr: Swim 150 yards, Bike 6 miles, Run 1 mile

Swim
Maile Johnson ~ Maile is a lifelong swimmer with 8 years of coaching experience across all ages. She's currently in school to receive her Doctorate in Physical Therapy and is the Head Coach of SPCC's Intramural and Junior Swim Team. She's passionate about fostering athletes' love for the sport while challenging them to try new things!
Brooke Butler~ Brooke has been a competitive swimmer since a young age. She has recently acquired a passion for open water swimming in the past four years. Alongside swimming she was a cross-country athlete for six years and continues to run competitively to this day. She enjoys teaching water aerobics, swim lessons, and coaching.
Bike/Run
Lacey Barry ~ Lacey is a dedicated endurance coach and accomplished athlete with a passion for pushing physical and mental limits. As a seasoned coach, triathlete, marathoner, and ultramarathoner, Lacey is committed to helping athletes find balance, build resilience, and unlock their full potential.
Kathryn Gearhart ~Kathryn is a passionate runner with experience competing at the Collegiate Level in Cross Country and Track and Field, specifically at the Division 1 level. As a previous PE teacher, Kathryn also has a passion for working with youth and helping foster growth in sport and physical activity.
Joe Wilkerson ~ Joe brings a wealth of experience to the program, having completed 20 Ironman events along with numerous marathons and road races. As a seasoned coach, Joe is committed to helping young athletes reach their full potential.

US Triathlon Youth Membership required by June 16, 2025. $10.00 Fee
