Step back in time to the Prohibition era—a dazzling decade of prosperity, freedom, and unforgettable style. The Severna Park Community Center’s Gin & Jazz Annual Gala, presented by The Cottage, will bring the spirit of the Roaring Twenties to life with flappers, gangsters, jazz-inspired glamour, and a night filled with celebration.  Step into the glamour of the 1920s and dress to the nines! Slip into your finest attire, don your glad rags, and be the bee’s knees as we celebrate in true roaring-twenties style.

More than a night out, this signature fundraising event directly supports the Severna Park Community Center’s mission to serve as the community gathering place that enhances individual and family well-being.
The annual gala honors a local community hero while raising critical funds for the Center’s ongoing operations. Program fees and rentals cover only about 75% of the cost of running the facility; the remaining funding depends on fundraising initiatives such as this event, ensuring the center can continue to serve the community year-round.

Honoring Artie Hendricks

We are honored to recognize Artie Hendricks, a devoted community leader whose generosity, leadership, and service have left a lasting impact on Severna Park and beyond. As Founder and President of Operations of Landmark Roofing, Artie has built a business rooted in integrity while leading meaningful philanthropic efforts throughout Anne Arundel County.
A former Chair of the SPCC Board of Directors and longtime supporter, Artie has championed the center’s mission and helped strengthen it as a place where individuals and families connect, grow, and thrive.

Each year, the Severna Park Community Center hosts an annual fundraising gala, to honor a local community hero, and to raise much-needed funds for the center’s annual operations. Fees for services and rentals only cover about 75% of the cost of running this facility – the rest comes from fundraising programs, such as our annual gala.
