Studio Program Dance Classes

 YEAR-LONG CLASSES start August 31st

These classes are year-long in nature and culminate in an end of year recital.  For beginner classes, they will perform a ballet and tap dance, for more experienced classes they will perform a ballet, tap, and jazz dance.  Specialty classes can be taken in addition to the core ballet/tap/jazz class for more experienced dancers.  For additional information on classes not listed here, please contact kgreer@spcommunitycenter.org

Beginner Ballet & Tap: Introduction

I Can Dance Graduates (year-round class culminating in a recital)
This class is for students that turned 3 by 9/1/22, have completed at least 3 sessions of I Can Dance, and are fully potty-trained

Ballet/Tap combination class for 3 & 4 Year Olds)
This is a one-hour class that is introductory in nature, teaching the basic elements of Ballet & Tap for dancers pre-k ages.  This class will culminate in a year-end recital.

Required dress for 3 & 4 Year Olds:  For girls, pink leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes, black tap shoes, hair secured neatly in a bun.  For boys, black pants, white slightly fitted t-shirt, black ballet shoes, black tap shoes.  
                         
Fee
: ​​​$25 registration fee due upon registration​
         Monthly fees of $95.40 include class fee , costume, and recital fee payable through June 


Available day/time: Registration is now closed for year-round classes.  However, session classes are offered month to month. You can find session class options at here

Beginning Grade School

This class  is introductory in nature, teaching the basic elements of Ballet & Tap with an  introduction to Jazz for those in grades 1 through 5.  This class will culminate in a year-end recital.
Required dress for ages 6 and up:  For girls, black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes, black tap shoes, hair secured neatly in a bun.  For boys, black pants, white slightly fitted t-shirt, black ballet shoes, black tap shoes.

What Our Community Is Saying

As a former competitive swimmer myself, I introduced my daughter  to swimming at a tender age of 6 months; however she was so terrified of being in any body of water such that even giving her a bath was quite a challenge.
 However at age 4 she suddenly told us that she wanted to learn how to swim and so we brought her to Severna Park Community Center (SPCC) and what a beautiful experience we have had. The instructors are so polite, professional and sensitive to the needs of each individual child and our daughter fit right in.  At SPCC she has progressed from not knowing how to swim to being one of the best swimmers in her age group! We as parents are so proud of her achievements at SPCC with the help of the super wonderful aquatic center staff.  We highly recommend SPCC aquatic center to any parent that is serious about having their child/children learn how to swim and you will not be disappointed!
