A NEW swim program for ALL abilities and skill levels ranging from beginners, just learning to blow bubbles, to advanced swimmers practicing several days a week. Given swimming is a lifelong sport and offers a wide range of benefits for health and well-being, swim programs are offered for all ages.
To promote water safety, and foster physical fitness and emotional health in children and adults with special needs, the S.E.A.L.S. program offers comprehensive adaptive aquatic lessons and training from basic swimming skills through competitive swim team. Our aim is to enhance the quality, health, and safety of the daily lives for participants and their family members within a safe and supportive community environment.

Main Pool

Men and Women locker rooms are located in both the main and therapy pool areas.
Children under 6 may be in a locker room of the opposite sex as long as they are with a parent or guardian.
Family restrooms and changing areas are located in the lobby. Doors may be locked when in use.
Equipment: Float belts, barbells, hand bells, different sized noodles, different shaped kicked boards, therapy aqua step and hand and foot resistance bells, toys, cue cards, life jackets, swim vests, the “WOW”, wrist waits, mirrors.
All S.E.A.L.S. programs are provided through grant funding and are free to qualified participants.

S.E.A.L.S Swim Team (Youth and Adult)
Swimmers must be able to swim 25 yards independently and follow directions from coaches on deck. There are three intrasquad meets a year and swimmers are eligible to participate in Special Olympics locally, regionally, and nationally. Registration is by the session. You may register here or with the front desk receptionist. Complete and forward the registration form to Carolyn at channa@spcommunitycenter.org. Participants cannot begin practices until the registration form is received. Participants may choose any two of the three following days to attend S.E.A.L.S. practices. Individuals will not be committed to attending the same two days every week. Should the participant decide to attend all three practices per week, please notify the SPCC Aquatics’ Office staff so we may correctly record participation as required by our grant. Summer Sessions:
