S.E.A.L.S Swim Program
Social | Educational | ALL Welcome | Limitless | Swimming

A NEW swim program for ALL abilities and skill levels ranging from beginners, just learning to blow bubbles, to advanced swimmers practicing several days a week. Given swimming is a lifelong sport and offers a wide range of benefits for health and well-being, swim programs are offered for all ages.

To promote water safety, and foster physical fitness and emotional health in children and adults with special needs, the S.E.A.L.S. program offers comprehensive adaptive aquatic lessons and training from basic swimming skills through competitive swim team. Our aim is to enhance the quality, health, and safety of the daily lives for participants and their family members within a safe and supportive community environment.

All S.E.A.L.S. programs are provided through grant funding and are free to qualified participants.

Please contact SPCC Aquatics. if you have any questions about the program.

 S.E.A.L.S - Private (one-on-one)
is our “introduction to water and learn to swim” program for children and adults with little to no swimming experience. Participants work one-on-one with instructors on basic swimming skills and water safety. Lessons are individualized to meet the needs of each person.

Participants cannot begin classes until the registration form is received.

Cancellations/Rescheduled Lessons
Both the instructor and person contracting the lessons must provide at least 24-hours notice to cancel a previously scheduled lesson.

Except for extenuating circumstances, the swim lesson participant, or family if a minor, will be charged for the lesson if proper notice is not given.

Individual classes cancelled due to inclement weather or pool maintenance/repair will be rescheduled.

 S.E.A.L.S - Small Group

is for those who have acquired basic swimming skills but want to become stronger swimmers.  Lessons are designed to build skills one step at a time.

What Our Community Is Saying

As a former competitive swimmer myself, I introduced my daughter  to swimming at a tender age of 6 months; however she was so terrified of being in any body of water such that even giving her a bath was quite a challenge.
However at age 4 she suddenly told us that she wanted to learn how to swim and so we brought her to Severna Park Community Center (SPCC) and what a beautiful experience we have had. The instructors are so polite, professional and sensitive to the needs of each individual child and our daughter fit right in.  At SPCC she has progressed from not knowing how to swim to being one of the best swimmers in her age group! We as parents are so proud of her achievements at SPCC with the help of the super wonderful aquatic center staff.  We highly recommend SPCC aquatic center to any parent that is serious about having their child/children learn how to swim and you will not be disappointed!
