Mary Henry, Manager of Annual Giving

Annapolis native Mary Henry was thrilled to join the Severna Park Community Center in the summer of 2018 as the Manager of Annual Giving, and is happy to play a part in SPCC's role as the heart of our community, where she's lived for more than 14 years.
Mary's favorite part of her job at SPCC is that no day is the same at the Center. Some days it’s all hands on deck to get a project done. Other days are quiet, and the staff has meetings to plan the next steps for the Center. Mary is constantly meeting new people and loves when someone brings new ideas to her or shares a story about the history of SPCC that she didn’t know.
In her role as the Manager of Annual Giving, Mary works to grow the public presence of SPCC and make sure everyone in the county knows how much the Center offers. She's begun to put processes in place to preserve the legacy of the Center and secure its financial future through fundraising. Best of all, she's excited to work on the fabulous Gala which comes to our town each April.
Mary first visited the Severna Park Community Center when her kids were taking swimming lessons, and drives past it several times each day doing the suburban carpool shuffle as the master coordinator of the Henry family schedule. When she's not strategizing to support the Center, Mary enjoys the beach, book club, golfing with her husband, and connecting over coffee with long-time friends.
If you see Mary at the Center, she would love to say hello! Ask her about the Friends Campaign and how it shapes the future of the Severna Park Community Center.
