Group Fitness Class Descriptions
Arthritis
The Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program is a low-impact physical activity program proven to reduce pain and decrease stiffness. The routines include gentle range-of-motion exercises that are suitable for every fitness level. A variety of exercises that can be performed while sitting or standing, including endurance, balance, strength, flexibility, relaxation. Light weights and bands are used in addition to gentle range of motion movements.
Our Arthritis class is by Karen Schmidt. Karen maintains her arthritis land and aquatic instructor certifications through the American Exercise Association, the training body for the Arthritis Foundation. Karen is also certified by the International Fitness Association as an Aqua Fitness Instructor. A valued long term SPCC employee, Karen has over 15 years’ experience teaching aquatic arthritis and aqua jog classes. She is beloved by many and committed to helping others through community wellness programs.

Summer Fitness Sessions
Yoga (ages 14 and up)

Adult Flexibility and Conditioning (ages 16 and up)

COVID 19 Procedures:
- All patrons must make a reservation to use the Fitness Center or attend a group fitness class. Reservations can be made through EZ Facility or through the front desk. If you are a 1st time user, please visit our front desk to set up your account and sign a one-time waiver. Please consult the Fitness Center and/or Group Fitness class schedules for available times.
- 24 hours notice is required to cancel a reservation. Patrons will be charged if sufficient notice is not given.
- Water fountains are only allowed to be used to fill water bottles.
- For Fitness Center patrons, everyone must check in at the front desk. You will be required to sign a onetime waiver on your first visit.
