The Severna Park Community Center has been the heart of affordable multi-generational programming for more tahn 25 years. We have never charged membership fees, and our programming fees cover only part of the true cost of maintaining the center. As is the case with many nonprofit organizations, we rely upon fundraising to support the center’s efforts. Money raised through the Annual Giving Fund goes towards the support of a broad array of enriching programs and services to the local community and beyond.
Through the generosity of our donors to The Annual Giving Fund, we've been able to provide time and space for important initiatives like Heroes of Tomorrow, Backpack Buddies, American Red Cross, and Project Linus - at no cost to participants.

Every donation, regardless of size is impactful.  We appreciate every donation we receive and are honored that the SPCC is the place where you choose to give your financial gift.

Stew Smith, Founder of Heroes of Tomorrow, believes that his program training young men and women for military service would not be possible without the Severna Park Community Center. "The Severna Park Community Center provides a home for our program- the weight room, the pool, the gym, the locker rooms. They just bend over backwards for our program, and we wouldn't exist without their generosity".

We welcome the chance to speak with you regarding the fundraising efforts at the Center.  Sarah Elder, our Executive Director, can be reached by calling (410) 647-5843 ext. 201 or via email at selder@spcommunitycenter.org

What Our Community Is Saying

As a former competitive swimmer myself, I introduced my daughter  to swimming at a tender age of 6 months; however she was so terrified of being in any body of water such that even giving her a bath was quite a challenge.
However at age 4 she suddenly told us that she wanted to learn how to swim and so we brought her to Severna Park Community Center (SPCC) and what a beautiful experience we have had. The instructors are so polite, professional and sensitive to the needs of each individual child and our daughter fit right in.  At SPCC she has progressed from not knowing how to swim to being one of the best swimmers in her age group! We as parents are so proud of her achievements at SPCC with the help of the super wonderful aquatic center staff.  We highly recommend SPCC aquatic center to any parent that is serious about having their child/children learn how to swim and you will not be disappointed!
