Amy Holbrook, Manager of Community Outreach and Marketing

Picture
Amy first came to the Severna Park Community Center as a mom, when her son was learning to swim. He’s now a rising 7th grader at St. John the Evangelist, right here in Severna Park.  Amy spent more than 20 years in early childhood education before taking on her current role here at SPCC as the Manager of Community Outreach and Marketing.  She wanted to work in an environment that is closely connected to the community that she grew up in, and she’s thrilled to be here!

Amy spends most of her day working with our programmers, booking rooms for baby showers, bridal showers, birthday parties and company meetings, making sure that our guests have the best experience when they are at SPCC.  Her favorite part of the job is making connections with the community that she has lived in for over 30 years.

Amy wants SPCC to be the gathering place for Severna Park and neighboring communities, the place everyone talks about when they’re looking for programs for their children and a gathering space for celebrations.

When Amy isn’t working, she loves to go to the beach with her family, and enjoys visiting Universal Studios with her son, who shares her love of all-things-Harry-Potter. Her favorite local traditions are the 4th of July Parade that passes right by our Center, and watching the Blue Angels from downtown Annapolis.

Please introduce yourself to Amy when you stop in to the Center!

What Our Community Is Saying

As a former competitive swimmer myself, I introduced my daughter  to swimming at a tender age of 6 months; however she was so terrified of being in any body of water such that even giving her a bath was quite a challenge.
However at age 4 she suddenly told us that she wanted to learn how to swim and so we brought her to Severna Park Community Center (SPCC) and what a beautiful experience we have had. The instructors are so polite, professional and sensitive to the needs of each individual child and our daughter fit right in.  At SPCC she has progressed from not knowing how to swim to being one of the best swimmers in her age group! We as parents are so proud of her achievements at SPCC with the help of the super wonderful aquatic center staff.  We highly recommend SPCC aquatic center to any parent that is serious about having their child/children learn how to swim and you will not be disappointed!
